DESCRIPTION:\nhttps://bethlehem.org.nz/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/15628207_1196258737096763_3506638873591545856_n.mp4\n  \nA Night Before Christmas – Saturday 21 December 2019\nThe Bay’s biggest free Christmas party is back in 2019 to celebrate twenty-three years of spreading Christmas joy in New Zealand’s very own Bethlehem.  \nThousands of friends\, families\, and communities will come together to enjoy a festive variety of live music\, dance\, carols by candlelight\, and a massive fireworks display as this year’s event looks set to be another stunner. \nBring a picnic dinner\, grab a bite from one of our delicious food trucks\, take a photo at the photo booth\, or maybe a selfie with one of our roving Christmas characters\, and enjoy the picturesque grounds of the Bethlehem College Sports Fields. If you’ve got children\, why not take them to visit the super fun Kids Zone thanks to Above and Beyond Education & Care Centres. \nA Night Before Christmas will feature a heap of amazing entertainers performing all the Christmas classics that are sure to get you singing and dancing along. With a variety of locally and nationally recognised performers\, there’s sure to be something to get everyone into the festive spirit. \nYou won’t want to miss this unique opportunity to gather with friends\, family\, work-mates\, and neighbours to celebrate the magic of Christmas under the clear skies of New Zealand’s very own Bethlehem\, the home of Christmas. \nTIMINGS\nGates will open at 5pm with entertainment starting at roughly 5:15pm. There will be a short half-time intermission at approximately 7:30pm followed by more entertainment in the second half. The event will conclude with an impressive fireworks display at approximately 9:40pm. \n  \nVENUE INFORMATION\nPARKING\nThere is plenty of parking onsite at Bethlehem College (Elder Lane\, off Moffat Road) and in surrounding streets. Just follow the signs and our friendly parking attendants upon arrival. We also recommend carpooling to reduce the number of cars onsite. \n  \nMOBILITY ACCESS\nWe have mobility parking available close to the event site for those who require it. The event site is wheelchair friendly\, however as the event does take place on a grass field access may be difficult for some wheelchair users. We also offer wheelchair-friendly toilets onsite. \nPlease note that Bethlehem College is a smoke-free and alcohol-free venue. \n  \nKIDS ZONE\nThanks to Above and Beyond Education & Care Centres we’ve got an amazing free kids zone full of fun activities\, amusements\, and heaps of festive cheer! \n\n\nPetting zoo \n\n\nFace painting \n\n\nBouncy castles \n\n\nRoving characters \n\n\nPlus more! \n\n\n  \nFOOD & BEVERAGE\nBRING YOUR OWN PICNIC\nYou are welcome to bring a picnic dinner to enjoy with your friends and family\, If bringing your own food from home it would be awesome if you could use reusable or compostable packaging where possible. \nPlease note: Alcohol is not permitted onsite. \nFOOD VENDORS\nWe also have an excellent selection of food vendors onsite selling a great range of hot food\, snacks\, desserts\, and hot drinks. \nIf you want to apply to be a vendor at A Night Before Christmas 2019 please click here. \n  \n                \n

To be a shepherd on the hill\, confronted by the sight of a heavenly host.\nCome and join us in a special Christmas Eve service as we explore the story that leads to the birth of our Saviour\, Jesus Christ.\nIt will be a night filled with carols and story telling\, a time for us to gather as families and celebrate together the coming of the New Born King.\n\nService times:\nChristmas Eve: 6:30pm\nChristmas Day: 9:00am & 10:00am\n\nBoth services will be followed by free tea & coffee as well as Christmas treats.\n
