I completed training as a Christian Counsellor at Vision College in 2010. I believe it is a privilege to be part of a client’s journey and my aim is to meet them at their point of need in a non-judgemental way. I work in a person-centred way and use therapy modalities that are best suited to the client. I believe the client is the expert in their own life so I look forward to hearing their story, gain understanding and then journey with them towards wellness. I have experience in working with loss and grief, trauma, anxiety, harmful sexual behaviour, depression, and issues relating to masculinity, pornography and intimacy.
As the manager of Place of Hope – Te Wāhi Tūmanako, I am passionate about people enhancing their lives by engaging in a counselling process that is collaborative, strengths based, and empowering of those seeking assistance. My role is to enable and support an excellent counselling service that is positively impacting our local community.
